Here at The Capistrano Beach Resort, families and couples can indulge in seaside pastimes: surfing, sailing fishing, whale-watching exploring Dana Point Harbor and the Mission in near-by San Juan Capistrano, or they can just enjoy the sun on the beach and maybe gather around a fire-pit in the evening.

Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, known as the "Jewel of the Missions" is located five minutes from the resort and shopping and dining in picturesque Old Capistrano creates warm and rich memories. Children will enjoy Jones Mini-Farm located in Historic Los Rios District where they can ride Pony's, a little train and explore the petting zoo. Also located in San Juan Capistrano is The Coach House Concert Theatre where national musical artists can be seen in an intimate concert setting.

Nearby regional attractions include Disneyland Resort and California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, The Getty Museum, LegoLand, and The San Diego Zoo.

The Dana Point Harbor is set beneath touring cliffs, walking distance from the resort, offering many fine restaurants and shops for your enjoyment. The Harbor is also the home of the Tall Ship "Pilgrim" and The Ocean Institute where children learn about marine life and maritime history.

The Capistrano Beach resort has a perfect view of The Point and sunsets over the ocean are spectacular, making your own ocean view suite perhaps the greatest attraction of all.
